Contract ManagerBirmingham - Full TimeWe are seeking a proactive and disciplined Landscapes Contracts Manager to lead the landscaping and winter services across Birmingham. This role involves working with an internal landscaping team and be responsible for delivering a high-quality, well-planned service that meets site standards and supports production readiness year-round.Key ResponsibilitiesLandscaping ManagementLead a team of Grounds Maintenance and Landscapes professionals to deliver scheduled maintenance across meadows, grassed areas, and site perimeter zones.Ensure weed control, seasonal planting, and general grounds upkeep are completed to specification.Maintain and improve service quality through structured planning and performance tracking.Support Mitie's environmental goals by managing green spaces that encourage biodiversity, including wildflower planting and habitat creation.Winter ServicesOversee gritting and snow clearance operations to ensure the site is safe and ready for production start.Coordinate salt bin maintenance and pre-season readiness checks.Be available flexible during winter months to supervise snow clearance and confirm gritting effectiveness.Ensure contractor activities are compliant, documented, and aligned with site safety protocols.Planning & ExecutionDevelop and maintain a robust operational plan for landscaping and contractor tasks.Ensure consistent execution and address historical challenges around sticking to the plan.Skills & ExperienceExperience in landscaping and contractor managementStrong planning and organisational skills.Robust health and safety experience, including the ability to lead and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Proven ability to lead small teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.Comfortable with flexible working hours and seasonal demands.Awareness of environmental sustainability and biodiversity principles, with a commitment to enhancing green infrastructure.Hold a Full UK Driving License
