From feasibility and bid stage to planning and delivery, youll be responsible for ensuring all civil engineering elements are cost-effective, buildable, and delivered on time.Key Responsibilities:Lead engineering input across multiple housing development sitesProduce technical reports and feasibility studies for land bids and acquisitionsOversee drainage strategies, foundation requirements, cut & fill assessments, highways, and utilitiesManage external engineering consultants from bid through to detailed design and deliveryCoordinate with internal teams (land, planning, build, sales, commercial) to ensure alignmentReview site infrastructure designs for value engineering and buildabilityApply for utility supply connections/diversions and liaise with external agenciesContribute to pre-development programmes and ensure all surveys and assessments are completeAttend planning, pre-tender, and pre-start meetingsProvide technical support to site staff during constructionRequired Skills & Experience:HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction fieldExperience managing engineering design on housing developments, particularly early-stage planningStrong knowledge of geotechnical, drainage, highways, utilities, and substation designAbility to interpret and critique consultant designs for efficiency and practicalityUnderstanding of S98 sewer requisitions and relevant UK building regulationsExcellent communication and organisational skillsFull UK driving licenceSalary & Benefits Package:Up to £68,000 salary (DOE)£7,565 car allowance20% annual bonus24 days holiday (rising to 28 with service) plus bank holidaysPension scheme (employee and company contributions)Hybrid & Electric Salary Sacrifice Car SchemeEmployee discount scheme & assistance programmeCycle to work schemeLife insurance & company sick payAnnual volunteering dayWorking Culture:You'll be part of a team that celebrates wins, values collaboration, and encourages career development.
