Location: Middlewich, Cheshire, North West, UKAssistant Engineer Middlewich£14.00 per hour2x Shift (Earlies/Lates)6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pmgap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for an Assistant Engineer to work at their facility based near MiddlewichPerformance ObjectivesThe Assistant Engineer will provide both proactive and reactive support for all automated systems on site. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact operational performance, equipment availability, and site productivity.Respond to conveyor system jams and stoppagesReset emergency stop buttons as requiredLog issues and complete maintenance records using computerised systemsAlways promote and maintain safe working practices, escalating H&S concerns as neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives by reporting recurring issues and suggesting solutionsEnsure high availability of equipment to support warehouse operationsConduct routine cleaning of automation equipment in line with hygiene standardsPerson SpecificationBasic qualifications & computer literacy.Good level of communication.Understanding of safe systems of work.Experience with conveyor systemsExperience of planned preventative maintenance programmes.Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems and their technical components.
