Foundation Learning Lecturer - FTC 6 months Contract Type: Fixed term contract Hours: Full Time Contract Length: 6 months Start Date: 2nd February 2026 Yeovil College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Foundation Learning Lecturer to join our Foundation Learning Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract starting February 2026 , delivering our NEET programme . This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialist department that changes lives through inclusive, high-quality education. In this role, youll work within a passionate team of specialist teachers and professionals delivering trauma-informed teaching to learners with special educational needs and disabilities . Youll plan and deliver inclusive lessons, tailor support to individual needs, contribute to resources, enrichment, wellbeing, and awarding body requirements, and work closely with Local Authorities and other partners to meet EHCP outcomes. Supporting young people who are not in education , employment , or training , youll help identify barriers, provide targeted support , and empower learners to re-engage with education , training , and employment pathways making a real difference in our community by building confidence, resilience, and brighter futures . What we're looking for: Experience of teaching students with SEND in either mainstream school, college or a specialist provision A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards. Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills. The ability to work successfully within a team. Excellent communication and organisational skills. An empathic approach to teaching ad confidence to deal with challenging situations.
