Multitask Personnel are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join a the Facilities Management division with a leading building services contractor. What Youll Be Doing as a Fire Alarm Engineer Install, commission, test, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems to BS 5839 standards. Diagnose and repair system faults quickly and efficiently. Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and compliance checks. Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and electronic logs. Provide technical support and guidance to clients on compliance and system operation. Respond to reactive call-outs and participate in the on-call rota. Prepare quotes for installation and repair works, detailing materials and labour. Ensure company vehicles are stocked, tools maintained, and health 'safety protocols followed. Build strong relationships through professional communication and top-tier service. Certification and Experience needed Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician/Engineer. BS 5839-1 Level 3 qualification (minimum). FIA, BAFE, or equivalent industry-recognised certifications. Strong working knowledge of systems from Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, etc. Good understanding of UK fire safety regulations and British Standards. Competent in the use of test equipment and interpreting wiring diagrams. Full, clean UK driving licence. Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently. ECS/CSCS card.
