SPORTS EVENTS MARKETWe are seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to manage and grow relationships between major sports events and host cities. This is a unique, two-sided sales role where you will act as a trusted partner—helping cities secure world-class sporting events while supporting rights holders in identifying and closing the right host opportunities.You will own a portfolio of key accounts across both event organisers and municipal stakeholders, driving revenue, long-term partnerships, and repeat hosting agreements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, including sports event owners, federations, and host citiesSell hosting rights and event opportunities to cities, regions, and destination organisationsRepresent host cities to sports rights holders, matching event requirements with city objectivesLead the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiation, contracting, and renewalDevelop tailored commercial proposals, bids, and hosting packagesBuild long-term strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across sport, government, and tourismAttend and represent the business at major sports events, conferences, and trade showsMonitor market trends in sports tourism, city marketing, and major eventsCollaborate with marketing, operations, and delivery teams to ensure successful event outcomesAbout YouProven experience in B2B sales, key account management, or partnerships, ideally within sport, events, tourism, or city marketingStrong commercial mindset with the ability to sell complex, high-value propositionsConfident working with senior stakeholders, including city officials, event directors, and commercial leadersExcellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skillsComfortable managing multiple accounts and long sales cyclesPassion for sport and an understanding of the value major events bring to citiesWillingness to travel internationally as requiredDesirable ExperienceExperience selling sponsorships, hosting rights, or destination marketing productsKnowledge of major sports events, federations, or rights holdersExperience working with public-sector or city stakeholdersExperience in any 2 sided commercial environment - events/recruitment/sponsorshipThe company currently runs 2 x annual Summits as major milestones to bring this community together. One is in Switzerland and one is in UK. They are complex multi-component tasks requiring significant planning, detailed coordination and liaison prior to delivery.Regional Summits are new and in 2026 will start to mobilise. These will be less complex but given their international nature and the potential to run up to 3 concurrently. · Festival of Sport is a maturing, yet to be deployed, initiative. It has the potential to run concurrently with Regional Summits. · Overseas market visits are opportunities to engage with future Host Local Organising Committees and see sports events in action.Routine networking events in sector groups are a powerful approach to support the company's Community.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Energy, enthusiasm and drive seeking to go beyond core responsibilities to support this growth phase and for personal development.Summary of the Role:1. Day to day management of the tasks above. 2. Clear visibility of the status of all tasks and cross team coordination. 3. External liaison with the range of delivery partners and key support agencies. 4. Support to first step financial matters: Raise invoices, simple reconciliation of payments received all supported by a highly experienced Book keeper and with proper induction. 5. Some limited support to travel planning. 6. Support to oversight of the company's master plan for a rolling 12 months to deconflict activities and ensure staff are allocated to tasks.FULL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT WILL BE GIVEN£30,000 - £40,000 DOE£10,000 - £20,000 commission28 days holidayFull expenses paid
