With continued investment in people, equipment and processes, the company offers a technically challenging and rewarding environment for an experienced Production Manager who wants real ownership, influence and the chance to drive operational excellence.The RoleAs Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and optimisation of a complex composite manufacturing operation. You will oversee the production of specialist materials, ensuring output targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage, develop and motivate a skilled production team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with engineering, quality and R&D teams to support new materials and process development.Key Responsibilities:Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary production team (circa 25)Lead and optimise composite manufacturing processesDeliver production schedules on time while maintaining strict quality standardsIdentify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve flow, yield and efficiencyDrive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologiesEnsure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standardsOversee material usage, inventory and equipment utilisationTrack and report KPIs relating to output, waste, quality and performanceAbout YouYou will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong technical grounding and a passion for high-performance production environments.Ideally, you will have:Significant experience in production management within manufacturing - min 4 yearsExposure to composites, carbon fibre or other advanced materials in aerospace/automotive – preferred Strong leadership and people-development skillsKnowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniquesA data-driven, analytical approach to problem-solvingFamiliarity with ISO9001/ AS9100 quality standards and safe working practicesWhy Join?Work with cutting-edge composite and carbon technologiesJoin a stable, growing and forward-thinking manufacturing businessReal autonomy and influence within the production operationStrong commitment to training, development and career progression
