Job Title: Installation and Marine CoordinatorLocation: Victoria, LondonContract: 12 MonthsHybrid: 8 days per month working from homeJob OverviewOur client is seeking an Installation and Marine Coordinator to support the Liverpool Bay CCS project. The role is responsible for supervising and coordinating all marine activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.Key activities include managing jack-up accommodation vessel movements, platform supply vessels (as required), cable laying and trenching works, diving operations, and load-out activities. The role also involves overseeing offshore structure transportation and installation, offshore personnel transfers, and SIMOPS when applicable.You will act as the primary marine interface with other operators’ activities in the area, ensuring seamless coordination and operational integrity throughout offshore operations.About Our ClientOur client is the owner and operator of the Liverpool Bay Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) Transportation and Storage (T&S) infrastructure, a key element of the HyNet North West Industrial Cluster. The project supports the reduction of carbon emissions across the North West of England and North Wales.Working with hard-to-abate industries, our client transports captured CO₂ from multiple plants to safe and permanent storage beneath Liverpool Bay. The project repurposes existing infrastructure, including depleted reservoirs that have safely stored natural gas for millions of years, supporting regional economic growth and contributing to the UK’s Net Zero objectives.Joining our client means becoming part of a pioneering carbon capture and storage initiative, contributing to a sustainable future within a dynamic and innovative working environment.Main Responsibilities:Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective marine operationsMonitor transportation and installation engineering readinessDevelop, maintain, and implement the Vessel Management PlanCoordinate SIMOPS activities when requiredAct as the marine focal point, maintaining a live vessel activity logServe as the primary point of contact for project vessels, offshore supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders during offshore operationsMaintain continuous communication with vessels, offshore platforms, and jack-up unitsIdentify survey and remedial work requirements to support vessel positioningMaintain up-to-date marine documentation (excluding self-produced documentation)Manage audits of vessels, jack-ups (marine aspects), and ports when requiredParticipate in HSE activities, including HAZID and related workshopsEnsure compliance with navigational safety measures, including exclusion and safety zones, guard vessel coordination, and COLREGsSupport the issuance of Notices to Mariners, Kingfisher Bulletins, and other stakeholder communications as requiredCoordinate with the Fisheries Liaison Officer (FLO) regarding fishing activity interactionsAct as the first-response coordination point for vessel-related emergencies (e.g. collision, fire, man overboard, oil spill)Initiate emergency communications with HM Coastguard and follow escalation pathways defined in the Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) and Emergency Response PlanDocument incidents and support post-incident investigations and reportingMaintain records of vessel activity, daily reports, incidents, and near missesEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and standardsSkills and Experience Required:University degree in an appropriate engineering or scientific disciplineQualifications in project and/or construction managementExtensive industry experience in marine operations, offshore installation, and diving worksStrong understanding and experience with jack-up site assessment requirements and associated processesKnowledge of challenges and opportunities related to the transition from oil and gas to low-carbon energyExcellent written and verbal communication skills (English required; additional languages are an advantage)Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteFlexible, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a clear understanding of professional ethics and protocolsWillingness to travel within the UK and internationally as requiredBased in London with flexibility for travel
