About the roleThis is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and play a leadingrole in defining, building and launching Store data product that have a realimpact on Tesco business and colleagues.Asa Lead Product Manager, you will evolve and drive the product vision, strategyand delivery of Store Data Products that empower Tesco colleagues to deliver anexceptional shopping experience. You will define the product roadmap,prioritise features and ensure alignment with business objectives and userneeds. Working closely with cross functional teams, including engineering,analytics, stores and external partners, you will translate complex businesschallenges to improve store efficiency and colleague productivity. You willchampion innovation, leverage store data and advanced analytics and ensureproducts deliver measurable impact on operational performance and colleagueexperience.This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being based at ourLondon and Welwyn Garden City offices 3 days a week.You will be responsible forProduct Strategy and Delivery·       Define and own the productvision and roadmap for Store Data Products, ensuring alignment with businessgoals and customer experience objectives.·       Prioritise work and decisivelyresolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders to maximise business value.·       Translate complex businesschallenges into innovative, data-driven solutions that improve store efficiencyand colleague productivity.·       Effectively document andexplain new requirements to engineering teams using user stories withacceptance criteria and help break down complex work into smaller, deliverablechunks for faster delivery.·       Steer sprint and releaseplanning sessions with engineering counterparts to plan iterations that delivermaximum business value with minimal effort.·       Prioritise, coordinate, andcommunicate the resolution of live product issues independently.Team Leadership and Talent Development·       Build and nurture ahigh-performing team of Product Managers based on business needs and strategicpriorities.·       Empower and develop your teamto continually deliver value, fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, andcontinuous learning.·       Support recruitment,onboarding, and targeted upskilling initiatives to develop expertise in productmanagement, data analytics, and emerging technologies.Cross-Functional Collaboration·       Partner with engineering,analytics, store operations and external vendors to deliver high quality,scalable data products.·       Drive acceptance and adoptionof ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders.·       Provide leadership anddirection to cross functional teams on short term tasks and mid / long termpriorities.·       Identify and remove challengesfaced by the team by working with your Head of Product and other stakeholders,proactively flagging risks or delays.Technical and Data Expertise·       Leverage store data, advancedanalytics and emerging technologies to shape product capabilities.·       Collaborate with data engineeringand analytics teams to ensure robust data pipelines, governance and compliance.·       Explore opportunities tointegrate AI and machine learning into Store Data Products for predictiveinsights and automation.Governance and Compliance·       Ensure data products adhere togovernance, security and ethical standards.·       Promote data quality,discoverability, and compliance across all product initiatives.You will need·       Evolves / sets vision andstrategy for product areas, develops and baselines product OKRs. ·       Appraises and analyses customerresearch results to influence product outcomes and strategic goals. ·       Understands how diversepersonas or customer groups perceive, interpret and experience products indifferent ways. ·       Applies UX/UI disciplines andprinciples to product design, ensuring intuitive and customer-friendlyinteraction. ·       Develops hypothesis statementsand collaborates with engineers to set up and execute experiments. ·       Understands AI productivitytechnology systems and monitors health metrics.·       Engages in market research,leveraging insights to shape product vision and strategic direction alignedwith business, technology goals and customer expectations. ·       Utilises various data typesappropriately, knowing when to apply quantitative and/or qualitative data. ·       Applies knowledge of theProduct Management lifecycle, delivery processes, and Agile principles todiscover, design, define, develop and deliver incremental opportunities thatdrive growth and value. ​Whats in it for you?We’re all about the little helps.
