We are authoritative, credible, responsible, trusted and a part of the nation’s cultural heritage.Your Role: The podcast video editor role is at the heart of The Times and The Sunday Times digital content creation strategy, responsible for delivering high-quality visualised podcasts for our app, website, YouTube and social channels.The ideal candidate will be a video editor with a clear understanding of The Times and TheSunday Times audiences – present and future. You will have proven experience in editing newsand politics video for online platforms, including YouTube, and be comfortable working withour political journalists across both titles to leverage their knowledge and expertise.Working with our studio and podcast teams, you will be responsible for creating engaging videocontent from our filmed material. You should be as comfortable editing one-minute verticalvideos for social as you are editing long-form material. Some experience in filming visualisedpodcasts is also desirable, both in studio and remotely.Key Skills and Responsibilities:Build strong relationships and work comfortably across the newsroomExcellent knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, including AutoPod; some understanding of Adobe After Effects is also desirableExperience of using Riverside software for virtual recordingEdit pacy and engaging business video podcasts, sometimes under great time pressure, ensuring that all information is accurate and in-house styleEditing shorter packages for YouTube and social channelsFilming podcasts in person when requiredNCTJ or equivalent qualificationWe are News UK: One of the leading media businesses in the UK and Ireland.
