We’re currently recruiting an ambitious Chef Manager to help us create exceptional food experiences on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for both the culinary offer and the day-to-day management of the catering operation, delivering an outstanding food and service experience. Here’s what you need to know before applying for a Chef Manager position with Compass Group UK&I.Here’s an idea of what your shift pattern will be:Mon: Full-time (Days)Tues: Full-time (Days)Weds: Full-time (Days)Thurs: Full-time (Days)Fri: Full-time (Days)SatSun:Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludePreparing and delivering delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customersManaging and leading the kitchen and catering team, creating a positive and supportive working environmentIdentifying opportunities to improve food quality, service delivery and operational efficiencyDelivering our food concepts and standards consistentlyRepresenting Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand imageManaging ordering, stock control and minimising food wasteOverseeing kitchen cleaning and ensuring excellent hygiene standards are maintainedManaging budgets, controlling costs and meeting financial targetsEnsuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standardsEnsuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulationsSupporting recruitment, training and development of team membersOur Ideal Chef Manager WillHold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent qualificationHave experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering management roleBe a strong leader who can motivate and develop a teamBe an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationshipsBe commercially aware with strong financial and cost control skillsStrive for excellence with an enthusiastic and proactive approachTake initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers and clientsWork well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate excellent timekeeping, reliability and organisational skillsHave a safety-first mindsetBe passionate about food and serviceAs part of Compass, you’ll help to feed people, fuel progress and forge connections across around 6,000 venues.
