Product Designer (UI-Focused, Fashion & Gen Z)Location: UK or RemoteType: Full-timeCompany: Basket (early-stage, high-growth)We’re looking for a standout Product Designer with exceptional UI skills and a strong instinct for Gen Z taste. This role is about building beautiful, opinionated interfaces for a fashion-first product, and helping shape how the brand looks, feels, and evolves as we scale.You’ll be deeply embedded in the product team, working closely with founders and engineers, and you’ll have real influence over both the product direction and the visual identity of the company.What you’ll be doingDesigning polished, high-quality UIs for a Gen Z audience, with a strong focus on fashion, aesthetics, and cultural relevanceOwning the end-to-end design process, from early concepts and flows through to high-fidelity UI and handoffWorking hands-on with our core product, contributing directly to how features look, feel, and evolve over timeHelping define and evolve our design system, visual language, and interaction patternsTurning your hand to marketing collateral when needed, including landing pages, app store assets, social content, pitch decks, and campaign visualsCollaborating closely with engineering to ensure designs are buildable, performant, and true to intentBringing ideas proactively, not just executing briefs, and helping push the product forward creativelyWhat we’re looking forStrong UI design skills, with a portfolio that shows taste, clarity, and attention to detailA genuine interest in fashion, culture, and Gen Z products, you should care deeply about how things look and how they’re perceivedExperience designing consumer products, ideally mobile-firstConfident working in Figma as your primary design toolComfortable operating in fast-moving, early-stage environments where things evolve quicklyHappy to work across product and marketing, and switch contexts when neededConfident collaborating with founders and engineers, and able to articulate design decisions clearlyCuriosity around AI tools, or a willingness to jump in head first and experiment as part of your workflowNice to haveBasic motion or animation skills, such as micro-interactions, transitions, or simple prototypesSome experience working in WebflowExperience working on fashion, lifestyle, or creator-led productsAn understanding of social-first design and shareable momentsPrevious experience at an early-stage startupWhy this role is excitingYou’ll have real ownership and influence, this is not a pixel-pushing roleYou’ll help define a product and brand from an early stageYour work will be seen and used by a large and growing audienceYou’ll be part of a small, ambitious team building something culturally relevant
