Plant Engineer - Curzon Street - Birmingham City Centre Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Engineer to join our team based in Birmingham on one of our flagship project areas. As a Plant Engineer you’ll coordinate all plant, equipment, ancillaries, and inspections required in support of BBV delivery teams at Curzon Street.Some of the duties you will have include:Coordinate daily plant operations and ensure compliance with safety and BBV policiesManage records, reports, and maintenance schedules for plant and equipment Support procurement, inventory, and contractor coordinationOversee facility upkeep and assist with issue resolutionLiaise with site teams, support cost control, and share updates across departmentsAssist with meetings and general plant admin tasks as neededThe ideal candidate for the role would have the below:Experience in plant admin/co-ordination, ideally on construction projectsStrong multitasking, documentation, and communication skillsBasic understanding of plant machinery, maintenance, and safety standards (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, HSWA)Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint) and plant/vehicle systemsCSCS card and valid driving licenceAbout Balfour Beatty VINCIBalfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI’s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed.
