Future.We’re expanding our high performing Electric Vehicle Growth Team and looking for an experienced Enterprise Business Development Manager to drive the acquisition of large Enterprise Customers. You will be responsible for managing sales directly with our largest business customers (roughly speaking 4,000+ employees) focusing on our industry leading Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme. You will be the face and the voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles, advising and supporting prospective customers, building a detailed justification and business case and co-ordinating with our legal, finance and commercial teams to set up their very own Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice scheme. You will bring a passion and dedication to continually improving the Customer Experience along with expertise in relationship building and a genuine passion for sustainability; whilst being an honest, empathetic and an all-round great person. You will have significant professional enterprise sales experience, a track record of exceptional sales performance, whilst being highly skilled at identifying targets, prospecting, and exceeding customer expectations… you are able to drive direction, navigate the sales cycle, and fully engage within a high performing team.This role will include an uncapped commission structure, generous car allowance and unlimited time off as part of the overall package and will be based in our central London office 2-3 days a week.**Please note that you must have a valid UK driving licence**Applications will not be reviewed until January 2026What you'll do...Take full ownership of driving new business, building and managing strategic relationships with Enterprise customers, positioning Octopus as the right partner for salary sacrifice EV schemesCoordinate with marketing, operations, and implementation teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and rollout processLead multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement to signed agreements and successful program implementationUnderstand and navigate enterprise procurement, HR, finance, and legal processes to drive a successful outcomePartner with senior leaders (often C-Level) to tailor a compelling EV benefit proposition aligned to their business goals (e.g. net-zero, employee engagement, cost efficiency)Establish and develop your sales pipeline with customers - nurturing your relationships from lead through to delivery, whilst meeting (and ideally exceeding) targets setPlan, target, and secure the acquisition of new customersManage your pipeline, recording progress in our CRM system and keeping things up to dateRecord customer satisfaction and best practice measuresSupport customer launch events to spread the word of electric vehicles, our role in creating a sustainable future, and how we can helpProvide excellent customer service through the sales processShare best practice and insights to help shape our enterprise go-to-market approach - we’re growing rapidly and we have lots to learn along the wayWork with the wider teams to develop and deliver propositions and materials for the B2B market and specifically Enterprise CustomersStrategically build your pipeline working with the wider team to create strong relationships both internally and externallyWhat you'll need...Proven track record of winning and expanding relationships with enterprise customers selling business value generating solutions/servicesExperience managing complex six or seven-figure deal sizes through complex sales cyclesAbility to influence and negotiate with senior customer stakeholders (C-Level, Directors, HR, Finance and ESG)Strong commercial acumen - able to balance customer needs with Octopus’ strategic growth and revenue goals10+ years in customer facing sales roles delivering significant new businessDeliver an excellent customer experience, coupled with a ruthless focus on the customer with a genuine passion for going above and beyond for customersPassion for creating a sustainable future through decarbonisation via electric vehicles and renewable energyPrevious sales experience within a B2B consultative environment is a must, alongside a track record in exceeding targets in your previous rolesKnowledge of employee benefits and/or vehicle leasing would be and advantage but isn’t a pre-requisiteExcellent listening and communication skills, alongside an ability to deliver exciting and engaging presentations to executive audiencesExperience using Google Drive, MS Office, CRM systems and other associated IT based technologiesA true completer, finisher mentalityAn understanding of the sales cycle and customers’ buying process, whilst being able to envisage the why and what behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire visionA start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
