Business Operations and Support, PS ConnectINTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLYThis role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.This new full post is available from immediately on a permanent basisSummary of the roleAs Executive Officer, you will provide high level executive and project management support across the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and within the Business Operations and Support division/PS Connect. Supporting the day-to-day operational delivery of the Faculty and division’s core business activities. In addition, the Executive Officer supports the effective delivery of Faculty’s strategic objectives. You will play a key role in ensuring effective governance, delivering strategic projects, and supporting planning, finance, and resource management processes. Acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver, you will help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the Faculty.You will lead on the delivery of key projects, manage governance frameworks, and oversee operational delivery, helping to ensure core business activities and strategic objectives are delivered. The role also involves managing a team; ensuring effective workload distribution, and fostering a positive, inclusive culture. Your ability to anticipate challenges, exercise sound judgment, and act decisively will be critical to success. As a member of Business Operations and Support Senior Management Team (SMT) the post holder will also assist the Director of Business Operations and Support in delivering core divisional objectives.Interview DetailsThe interview process for this role will take place over two phases. Formal interviews, chaired by the Assistant Director of Business Operations and Support, will be held via MSTeams on Thursday 15th January. This will then followed by a shorter in person meeting, chaired by the DFO and DDFO w/c 19th January.
