We are currently recruiting a Quality Controller to join a busy fresh produce packing operation. This is a hands-on role, ensuring all fruit packed on site meets customer, retailer, and food safety standards. Working on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, you will play a key role in maintaining quality, reducing waste, and supporting production teams to deliver consistently high standards. Key Responsibilities * Carry out quality checks on incoming fruit, in-process packing, and finished products * Ensure compliance with retailer specifications and food safety standards * Complete quality paperwork and maintain accurate records * Identify quality issues and report non-conformances * Work closely with production and packhouse teams to resolve quality concerns * Monitor hygiene, GMP, and temperature controls * Support audits and customer visits when required Key Requirements * Previous experience in a quality role within fresh produce / fruit packing (essential) * Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards * Strong attention to detail * Confident completing paperwork and using basic IT systems * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Flexible and reliable with shift work What’s on Offer * 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (excellent work-life balance) * Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing business * Competitive pay and benefits * Supportive team environment
