Temporary Science Technician Location: Whitehaven Contract: Full-time, Approx 6 weeks Salary: £25,989 per annum We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our Science Department. Working under the instruction and guidance of senior staff, the successful candidate will provide essential technical and practical support to teaching staff and students. Key Responsibilities Prepare, maintain, and organise equipment, materials, and resources for science lessons Provide general practical support within the Science Department Support staff and students during practical activities where appropriate Attend staff briefings and meetings as requiredSafeguarding, Health & Safety Comply with all school policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection Report any concerns promptly to the appropriate personEquality, Inclusion & School Ethos Be aware of and support individual differences, ensuring equal opportunities for all Contribute positively to the overall ethos, aims, and values of the schoolProfessional Development Participate in training, learning activities, and performance management as requiredAdditional Duties Undertake other duties as reasonably required in support of the school, within the scope of the postSafeguarding Statement All staff members are required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure, and the appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and safeguarding checks.
