Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Fabrication Yard H&S Advisor to join their EA2 project. Role: Fabrication Yard H&S Advisor Business: Scottish Power Renewables Duration: Initial contract until 31st Dec 2026 Location: London, Glasgow, or Lowestoft/hybrid style working - with travel to UK and overseas sites as required Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available Main Purpose of Job Conduct Audits, Inspections and Site walkdowns of All third-party contractor Fabrication Facilities across Europe / UK in relation to the project. Support all third-party contractor fabrication facilities across Europe / UK in relation to the Project with in- person Safety visits and Inspections. These facilities are engaged in the fabrication and manufacture of assets related to the Project, including HV Cables, Monopiles, Transition Pieces, Platform Topsides / Jacket, Turbine. Engage, in person and via TEAMS with Tier 1 Contractors' Site and Health and Safety Management team as well as Tier 2 subcontractor management structures. Support all site-based Project Fabrication teams at Contractor Facilities and office-based Engineering / Management personnel in matters of H&S such as Risk management/assessment, Cultural Safety improvement. Support documentation review of Contractor activities across all third-party facilities. Key Tasks Travel to Fabrication Facilities related to the project. This will be predominantly Inspections/Audits. Support H&S Engineers for OFTO Offshore, FOU / IAC and WTG in areas such as document reviews, Risk Management / Assessment, and Mockup Activities. Engage, in person and via TEAMS with Tier 1 Contractors' Site and Health and Safety Management team as well as Tier 2 subcontractor management structures and Implement any Cultural Safety improvement. Support all site-based Project Fabrication teams at Contractor Facilities and office-based Engineering / Management personnel in matters of H&S Support documentation review of Contractor activities across work-scope. Key Criteria Detailed knowledge of Offshore Construction Health and Safety Best Practice Working knowledge of Environmental considerations in Offshore Construction Understanding of the core methodology of Offshore Turbine/Foundation, Converter / Substation and Export Cable Installation such as Installation, Heavy Lifts, Cable installation, HV / LV Commissioning perspective to ensure safe working practices are applied. Ability to influence personnel across a range of cultures, experiences, and geographic locations so as to drive adoption of HS best practice Ability to internalise Project / Business requirements and standards so as to hold contractors to a high HS standard Experience in mentoring personnel (both internal and external) on HS improvement do drive cultural change. Experience in working with personnel at a senior level within Contractor organisations Understanding of and ability to generate Risk Assessments to support internal personnel site-based activities. Experience in rolling out Safety Campaigns to site locations, presenting to large groups of personnel Experience in working in a remote environment from site locations, communicating with personnel across other office / site locations via TEAMS. Ability to continually and effectively promote: safety leadership within the project teams by making the appropriate interventions to prevent unsafe situations or unacceptable risks being taken Safety Management as an integrated line management priority for all project planning and execution and Safety relentlessly as a value, challenging traditional thinking where appropriate Regimented focus to site visits and conducting audit / inspections Ability to plan multiple sequential trips to site locations so as to delivery oversight requirements to relevant internal stakeholders Coordinate with other internal stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to site access from SPR personnel. Ability to regulate workload and work independent of direct management supervision Manage time to ensure all internal stakeholders are supported effectively, including attending online or in person meetings, workshops and site visits as required Key Interfaces Internal: Health and Safety Engineers Various internal Package management Turbine, Foundation, Inter-Array, Offshore Converter / Sub Station.
