Location: Central London, London, South East, UK Senior Project EngineerCivils & Structural AlterationsLocation: Central London, with regular travel to sites across London and the surrounding areasRate : 350£400 per day -Permanent candidates are preferred; however, strong contract profiles will also be considered.A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering and structural alteration projects across Central London. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an engineer who is comfortable working in live, constrained urban environments and managing engineers on site.The successful candidate will take technical responsibility for civil and structural works, overseeing two engineers and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support two Site Engineers, providing technical guidance and daily directionOversee setting out, engineering control and technical delivery of civil and structural alteration worksSupport the Project Manager with planning, sequencing and constructability inputEnsure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirementsReview and manage RAMS, permits and engineering documentationCoordinate with subcontractors, clients and internal site teamsMaintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental complianceProactively resolve technical and site-based issuesProject ExposureCivil engineering works in constrained urban environmentsStructural alterations to existing buildings and assetsReinforced concrete structures and associated civils worksInterfaces with utilities, highways and live operational sitesCandidate RequirementsProven experience in a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer role within civils or structural worksStrong civil engineering background with exposure to structural alterationsStrong reinforced concrete experience (RC-focused candidates will be considered)Experience managing and mentoring site engineersComfortable working across multiple London sitesStrong communication, coordination and problem-solving skillsSMSTS and CSCSare essentialIf you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity, please apply now!
