Working closely with the Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll deliver day-to-day reactive maintenance, support planned preventative maintenance, and assist with wider engineering and facilities projects across our growing estate.This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone practical, proactive, and solution-focused, with a genuine interest in developing their skills within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral MaintenanceCarry out reactive maintenance tasks to support salon operations and presentation standardsRespond to maintenance requests raised through the internal ticketing systemAddress defects, faults, and hazards promptly to minimise disruption and downtimeComplete basic health and safety visual checks and maintain simple compliance recordsSupport of Technical OperationsAssist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks where trainedSupport the Senior Engineering Manager with larger projects, installations, and technical worksAccurately record maintenance activities, including tasks completed, materials used, and time spentFacilities and Operational TasksMaintain tools, equipment, and materials in a safe, organised, and compliant mannerIdentify and report recurring faults, building issues, or operational risksMaintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safe working practicesLiaise with external contractors when required and support quality assurance checksABOUT YOUYou have hands-on experience in a general maintenance, facilities, or practical trade-based roleExperience in high street retail, hospitality, or multi-site environments is a bonusYou’re confident carrying out a broad range of building and repair tasks to a high standardYou’re proactive, reliable, and take a solution-focused approach to maintenance issuesYou can follow technical instructions, procedures, and guidance, with training provided where neededYou communicate clearly and professionally, building positive relationships with salon teams and managersYou’re comfortable working independently across multiple sites while staying aligned with wider operational prioritiesYou’re willing and able to travel regularly between salon locationsYou have basic IT skills, including email use and digital job logging systemsYou’re organised, with the ability to manage your workload, meet SLAs, and keep accurate recordsExposure to planned preventative maintenance, asset care, or working with external contractors is advantageousLOCATIONThis is a full-time, permanent role based at our Support Centre in Central London, and we offer a hybrid working model, aligned with role requirements.Please note: regular travel across London and regional salon locations is required. Occasional out-of-hours or weekend work may be needed to support urgent repairs or planned works (agreed in advance).
