The RoleJunior Operations Business Analyst (Ongoing temp role – will look at a minimum of 1-year’s Settlements, or Operations exp who is interested in Project Management)Martis Search is representing a global Bank, to hire a temporary "Junior Operations Business Analyst” for an ongoing temporary position. There is also a possibility for going permanent as the company is always growing.The company is based in The City of London and the bank has global locations.This role is a junior Operations Business Analyst/ Project Management and system testing and support positions that helps ensure that the bank’s Operational systems in a Custody Operations environment function correctly after changes, by creating tests, executing them, documenting results, and reporting issues.The department is a sub-team within Operations and involves co-ordinating related Operations projects with both their IT department and their wider Operations department. This means you will be involve with mini Operations projects i.e. mainly changes to operations processes on internal systems. An example could be a request for the Corporate Actions, or Settlements teams to make required changes to a process. The team will do the initial testing of a new process, working with IT to make those changes and then the actual Corporate Actions, or Settlements Managers would perform the UAT testing to complete the project. Our client is look for someone with a minimum of 1year’s Settlements, or Custody Operations experience gained from a reputable Bank that is interested in projects/ project management/ working as a Business Analyst (that trades with global Institutional clients such as global corporates, Banks, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Fund of Funds etc).The role is also hybrid (within a 4-week period, 8 days employees are allowed to work from home, so you will be able to work-from, as well as in the office. It is a friendly bank to work for and a safe a secure environment.More about the roleThis role is to support the Infrastructure Support Management (ISM) Department with the successful delivery of system changes across GAS (UK) implementing best practices and initiatives in order to enhance the client experience and adapt to market change or regulatory requirements, whilst following compliance with departmental procedures and branch policies.The role is to carry out testing in system changes to ensure that the updates, enhancements or modifications to a system are reliable, functional and changes meets business requirements whilst maintaining system integrity.Tasks involved with the roleTo review and understand the system change requirements and collaborate in development discussions with ISM team, business teams and developers for clarification.Review and understand the business requirements and create detailed test cases/ test scenarios/ test schedule based on the system change.To complete all systems testing and clearly document test results whilst sharing progress with ISM and key stakeholders. Testing undertaken is to follow standardized processes whilst making sure the technological solutions meet the business requirements and where appropriate improve operational efficiency/the client experience.To ensure all testing is evidenced and if any defects or specification changes are identified, that these are discussed with key stakeholders and then updated within JIRA (centralised logging system for all system change requests).To carry out such other duties as requested by the Head of ISMAcademic and experience level/ type5 GCSEs at grade C and above, including Maths & English.A minimum of one years’ experience of global custody or similar securities processing operations.A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.First class professional approach i.e. the successful candidate must pay high attention to detail, be well organised, self-motivated and eager to learn. The candidate must also be a strong team player and always prepared to assist colleagues.SUPERVISION AND REPORTING LINESReports to Infrastructure Support Senior Officer or in their absence Infrastructure Support Manager.SalaryUp-to £18 per hour as a flat-rate including holiday pay.
