Job Description

An established business within the HVAC and refrigeration sector is currently seeking an experienced HSQE Advisor on a full time permanent basis to join their central support team based in Dartford, although you can be based anywhere in the South ideally close to either Bristol or Southampton so you can attend the local office. You will visit manufacturing and customer sites across the South.This position plays a key role in maintaining and developing effective Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems, ensuring full compliance with legislation and industry best practice across the business. You will work closely with management, project teams and site personnel to identify hazards, reduce risk and support consistent compliance standards.Key Responsibilities as HSQE AdvisorSupport the HSQE Manager with the maintenance and improvement of HSQE management systemsImplement, monitor and review HSQE procedures, documentation and reporting processesProvide technical advice to directors, managers, employees and subcontractorsSupport project delivery to ensure full CDM compliance, including Client, Principal Contractor and Principal Designer dutiesAct as a client interface for HSQE mattersInvestigate incidents, accidents and near-miss events and implement corrective actionsDevelop and manage audit programmes aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standardsMonitor contractor compliance and conduct site audits and inspectionsReport performance trends and improvement actions to senior managementMaintain effective preventative and corrective action systemsEssential Skills & Experience as HSQE AdvisorA confident HSQE professional able to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent verbal, written and report-writing communication skillsHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesFull flexibility to travel to multiple sitesStrong IT skills including Word, Excel and database systemsDesired Qualifications & Knowledge of HSQE AdvisorMinimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HSQE role within industrial plant room, chemical, factory, construction, engineering/manufacturing or building services environmentsNEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)Demonstrable experience working to:ISO 9001:2015 – QualityISO 45001:2018 – Health & SafetyISO 14001:2015 – EnvironmentalInternal or Lead Auditor qualification (QMS, EMS or OHSM)Professional membership such as IOSH, IIRSM or ISEPWorking knowledge of CDM RegulationsNEBOSH Environmental or Fire Safety CertificatesLevel 3 Award in Education & TrainingCCNSG Safety PassportExperience working with accreditations such as Safe Contractor or JOSCARWhy Consider this HSQE Advisor?Salary: £42,000 – £48,000Company vehicle, 25 days holiday, Defined pension contribution plan, Life assurance, Private medical insurance, Company sick pay scheme, Ongoing professional training and development supportIf you want to join a forward-thinking HSQE team dedicated to ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence across the business, please apply now!
