If you’re hands-on, mechanically or electrically skilled, and enjoy keeping critical equipment running smoothly, this could be a strong fit.The RoleYou’ll be responsible for ensuring all plant equipment and facility areas are maintained, repaired, and operating safely. This includes:Fault-finding and repairing mechanical and electrical equipmentCarrying out daily machine and statutory checksSupporting shift cover and occasional out-of-hours call-outsIdentifying required spare parts and planning aheadWorking safely in line with all environmental and H&S proceduresThis is a practical, varied role in an environment where reliability and quick problem-solving make a real difference.What You’ll NeedStrong experience in plant maintenanceMechanical or electrical backgroundIdeally an apprenticeship or relevant qualification (not essential)Experience working at heights and with pumps, motors, pipework (PVC), and general industrial kitUnderstanding of gas ovens, chillers, rectifiers, AHUs or AC units is a bonusPersonal QualitiesConfident using tools safelyComfortable working under pressure and with minimal supervisionAble to communicate clearly and work with onsite contractorsCalm, practical, and proactiveWorking EnvironmentCOMAH site environmentHands-on work with tools, machinery, greases, and oilsManual handling and heavy lifting involvedTraining provided on equipment such as overhead cranesStanding for long periods will be requiredRequirementsMust have the right to work in the UKWilling to complete mandatory trainingPhysically fit for manual tasks and lifting aircraft components
