Advising on high-quality and complex property finance matters for clients such as HSBC, Barclays, Bank of London, HB Reavis, Bruntwood and many more! The firm's Knowledge Lawyers have been recognised in several high-profile external awards and as contributors to awards for strategic Knowledge and Innovation projects for a cross-team initiative from our Real Estate, Corporate, Litigation and Restructuring Knowledge Lawyer Teams. The RoleJoining the firm’s market-leading Real Estate Finance team, play a vital role in the firm to develop, maintain, and enhance the team's knowledge resources, precedents, training programmes and best practice policies. This is a pivotal role supporting both internal fee earners and client-facing initiatives, with a focus on innovation, efficiency and technical excellence.What to expect in this role:Contribution to internal and client knowledge by designing and implementing comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and seminars for lawyers and clients on key topics and emerging trends in real estate finance.Produce client-facing articles in collaboration with the wider team and support business development initiatives by contributing to client briefings, pitches and proposals.Work with overseas offices to develop jurisdictional handbooks covering key practicalities across different jurisdictions.Precedent Development and Management:Draft, update, and maintain a comprehensive suite of REF precedents, including fee letters (arrangement, agency, prepayment), duty of care documents, debentures, facility agreements, completion undertakings, subordination deeds, and ancillary documents.Oversee borrower-side mark-ups of key documents and ensure all precedents are current and fit for purpose.Lead the general review and overhaul of REF precedents, including automation and integration with legal tech tools.Assist with the management and dissemination of know-how across the wider Real Estate division, and collaborate with legal tech teams to develop, implement, and train the REF team on new tools and automation processes.There is a robust KDL framework across the firm, which tracks the record of developing and progressing careers within this structure.
