A London local authority is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their in-house design team. The role is to support the wider multidisciplinary team supporting capital projects across housing, educational, cultural and leisure schemes.The role of Project Coordinator provides a vital management role. You will work with a combination of internal and external consultants and contractors to understand briefs, develop projects and manage to a suitable conclusion. You should have a technical design background and knowledge of contract administration, which will be critical in complying with legal agreements, whilst complying with relevant regulations and industry standards. Focusing on oversight of a project from initial survey, working through recommendations, and handover to relevant parties both internal and external, working collaboratively with services, partners and stakeholders alongside preparing and monitoring project documentation. All projects are to be delivered in accordance with the RIBA Plan of Work.The role is very varied, fast-paced and would appeal to candidates who enjoy multiple simultaneous projects of varying scale and typology.We are encouraging applications from architects, architectural technicians, job-runners, or project surveying backgrounds.The team work on a hybrid basis with staff expected to attend the office 1 day per week.The role will be offered on a long-term contract basis, with a daily rate paid via Hays Recruitment.
