This is a permanent role based in London. As the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for accelerating growth across major retail partners and expanding distribution through strategic account development. The role requires full P&L ownership, sharp commercial instincts, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead annual planning, forecasting and budget management for designated national accounts.Develop long-term, strategic customer plans that grow category share, strengthen brand presence, and deliver sustainable profitability.Identify new business opportunities across traditional and emerging channels (omnichannel, pure-play, specialist retail).Build collaborative relationships across customers’ commercial, digital, operations, and merchandising teams.Present compelling commercial proposals supported by data-led insights and shopper understanding.Work closely with the brand, supply chain and digital teams to ensure product launches, campaigns and promotions land effectively across channels.Monitor performance, evaluate promotional ROI, and adjust plans where necessary.Build accurate forecasts and support S&OP processes through strong communication and clear demand planning.Oversee range optimisation, space planning and on-shelf execution in partnership with internal and external teams.Conduct regular store walks and digital audits to ensure execution is aligned with strategy.Maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity, category dynamics, and retail trends, feeding insights back into the wider business.Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows and internal strategy sessions.What We're Looking For:Strong account management experience within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods.Ability to build strategic plans and deliver against them.Skilled in commercial negotiation and confident managing pricing, terms, and investment discussions.Exposure to managing or supporting relationships with top-tier national retailers.Experience working within categories that require seasonal planning or new product launch cycles.Commercially astute and strategically minded.Confident communicator who builds trust quickly.Competitive salary + benefits.
