Interim AD Adult Integrated CommissioningBased in London & Inside IR35Length: 3 monthsAs an Interim Assistant Director for Adult Integrated Commissioning, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for commissioning health and social care services for adults with complex needs and disabilities. This role is pivotal in driving transformation, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and fostering strong partnerships across the Council, SEL ICB, and wider stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead strategic and operational commissioning for adult social care and complex needs.Oversee procurement and management of contracted services ensuring quality and value for money.Drive co-production and engagement with service users, carers, and partners.Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and preparation for inspections (e.g., CQC).Manage substantial budgets and financial accountability for commissioned services.Provide high-level policy advice and represent the Council in multi-agency boards.Line manage and develop staff within the commissioning team.Skills, experience and knowledge required:Proven senior leadership experience in health and social care commissioning.Strong understanding of local and national health and social care agendas, particularly learning disabilities.Track record of managing large-scale commissioning and procurement exercises.Experience in budget management and strategic planning.Ability to lead cultural and organisational change and build effective partnerships.To apply for this role or to find out about other jobs, please contact the London Local Government Recruitment team on 020 7557 7667 or send your CV to localgov@*Venn Group’s “Recommendation Scheme”: if you recommend a candidate who is subsequently placed by Venn Group (for a minimum of 2 weeks) you will be eligible for vouchers from a choice of high street organisations
