Job Description

What You’ll DoGlobal Indirect Tax ComplianceLead VAT/GST compliance and savings across the UK/EU, UAE, Canada, and additional global jurisdictions.Manage UAE Designated Zone / Free Trade Zone (FTZ) VAT treatment for goods, including inbound/outbound flows, warehouse storage rules, and proof-of-export documentation.Oversee U.S. indirect tax obligations including Texas inventory property tax, multi-state sales & use tax, and environmental/packaging taxes where applicable.Manage the indirect tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely and accurate filings, audits, and submissions across all jurisdictions.Review and maintain indirect tax settings and tax determination rules in NetSuite (ERP) and Avalara.Customs, Duties & International TradeEnsure compliance with UK/EU customs rules, U.S. CBP valuation, UAE/GCC import/export regulationsWork with logistics and external customs brokers to ensure accurate documentation and tariff application.Execute US Duty drawbackOversee HTS/commodity classification, country-of-origin determinations, customs valuation, and duty calculations globally.Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner with:Supply Chain on cross-border inventory flowsLogistics on import/export documentationCompliance & Commercial on VAT clauses, international contract terms, and tax nexus reviewQualifications5+ years in taxExperience in beauty, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or retailBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business (with a tax focus), or EconomicsBonus points for professional certifications like CTA, LLM in Taxation, CPA, etcExperience with import / export, VAT, inventory designationsWillingness to learnStrong communication and collaboration skillsOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
