Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer - Fully Remote - 12 Month Contract - Outside IR35We’re looking for a creative, driven engineer to help design, build, and maintain reliable continuous integration and deployment pipelines across multiple platforms, including Web, iOS, Android, connected TV, and more. As part of the Build & Release Engineering group, you’ll play a key role in enabling product teams to deliver new features to a large, engaged audience. You’ll tackle challenging technical problems in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where quality and craftsmanship matter. This role is well suited for an experienced engineer who wants to grow deeper expertise in modern tooling, automation, and delivery practices.What you’ll be doingYou’ll work closely with other engineers to solve complex build and release challenges in a highly collaborative setting. The team operates in a modern development ecosystem, leveraging technologies such as Ruby on Rails, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and a range of supporting tools and languages. From initial design through production rollout, you’ll own features end-to-end by creating and maintaining build pipelines, developing microservices, and integrating with existing platforms and services including AWS, JIRA, and GitHub.What you’ll bring4+ years of professional experience developing software with RubyAt least 1 year of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails1+ year working directly with GitHub Actions or a similar CI/CD solutionStrong expertise in writing, testing, and debugging Ruby scriptsAdvanced proficiency with bash scriptingExperience building and working with Docker containersSolid background managing and supporting Linux environmentsExperience working with AWS servicesNice to haveExperience managing and configuring macOS systemsFamiliarity with macOS virtualizationHands-on experience with AnsibleExperience with Apple and/or Android application signingExperience deploying Apple and/or Android applicationsFamiliarity with GradlePrevious experience supporting and enabling other developers
