Relocation Opportunity for a talented Assistant General Manager needed for a stunning restaurant off the Coast of England. £65,000+ per annum. 9.5-month contract (paid over 12 months)Smyth & Co are thrilled to be recruiting for an Assistant General Manager to join an exceptional venue on the stunning South Coast of England. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to support the General Manager in overseeing operations at a high-performing coastal restaurant in a vibrant seasonal setting.The Role:Salary: £65,000+ per annum + Tips Contract: 9.5 months (February to December), with full 12 months’ pay Leave: Enjoy 2.5 months off over Christmas – no on-site work during this period Accommodation: Provided for the first 3 months to support relocation to the Isle of WightRestaurant Overview:Daily Covers:March to June: 250 per dayJune to September: 500–600 per day (operating 7 days a week in peak season)Team Size: 40–50 including front-of-house and kitchen teamsWhat You’ll Do:Support the General Manager in overseeing all front-of-house and overall restaurant operationsTake a hands-on leadership role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume environmentLead, motivate, and develop a large FOH team, particularly during peak seasonal tradeWork closely with the Head Chef and senior leadership team to ensure seamless service and operational excellenceDrive staff training, service standards, and team performanceStep into full management responsibility in the absence of the General ManagerWhat We’re Looking For:Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, premium hospitality settingStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsExperience managing large, seasonal teams in a fast-paced environmentA genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiencesWillingness to relocate to the Isle of Wight for the duration of the contractThis is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership role while enjoying a unique coastal lifestyle.
