Occupational TherapistSalary: 25-30 (negotiable)Location: SalisburyContract Type: Temporary, Full-timeStart Date: As soon as possibleMake sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.About the RoleWe are working in partnership with an NHS service to recruit a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapist to join a supportive therapies discharge team.This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously within community settings, supporting service users in their own homes to maximise independence, wellbeing, and recovery through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver person-centred, evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions for older adults with mental health conditions.Manage and prioritise a varied caseload, using strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies.Support service users to identify goals, plan care, and review outcomes, promoting independence and recovery.Work safely and autonomously within service users homes, adhering to risk management and lone-working policies.Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and reflective practice. xjdpvnf Supervise occupational therapy students or junior staff once competencies are achieved.Essential RequirementsCurrent HCPC registration as an Occupational TherapistA clear interest in working with older adults with mental health conditions and/or dementiaKnowledge and application of evidence-based practiceStrong time management skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of mental health policy and government strategies relating to older adultsUnderstanding of medication used in older adult mental health careConfident use of IT systems and understanding of information governanceIf youre an Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the lives of older adults, wed love to hear from you.
