Our client, an operational technology and digital transformation company, is recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join their business in the Staffordshire, UK In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.Position Title:Commissioning EngineerPosition TypePermanent (Full time)Start Date:ASAPLocation:Staffordshire, UK Contact:Ashish Rastogi | SummaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic & driven Engineer to join our Energy Business, to test and commission electrical Automation and Control Systems: from minor modifications and additions through to complete new and replacement systems.Responsibilities Carry out site acceptance testing and commissioning activities in line with approved test documentation.Carry out and support factory acceptance testing in line with approved test documentation.Technical supervision of installation works on client sites.Ensure installation, test & commissioning work is carried out in line with agreed technical procedures, methods and standards.Produce, collate & manage the project commissioning fileControl of drawings and schematics and Mark-up of these where changes are identified as required through test and commissioning activitiesDevelopment and review of commissioning and test documentation.Deployment of configuration files to SCADA BCUs, RTUs, PLCs, IEDs etc. and Network devices (Ethernet Switches etc.) including subsequent verification Support the preparation of site equipment and materials.Manage, maintain and control commissioning spares and test equipment.Responsible for the control LOTO in line with safe working procedures including permits where required.To carry out fault finding on systems, ensuring these are both documented and resolved.Requirements Suitably qualified or experienced in an Electrical Engineering disciplineGood understanding of Test & Commissioning methodologyExperience in fault finding on electrical & electronic systemsUnderstanding of communication networks and differing communication protocols and media types utilised (i.e. Ethernet over fibre optic, serial copper, etc.)Understand electrical safety and the control of isolations (LOTO)Computer literate with respect to the production of documentation (Microsoft Office)Computer literate with respect to the deployment of configuration files & verification to electrical devicesExperience of writing, developing & contributing to Test & Commissioning specifications & plansDemonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings (General Arrangement, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams etc.)Hold BS7671 18th Edition and C& G 2391 Inspection & Testing QualificationsExperience of working on National Grid SubstationsExperience of Substation Secondary SystemsExperience of industrial supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systemsExcellent communication and team skills.Structured and analytical way of working.Ability to Lead/work as part of a team.Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines and to motivate others to achieve the same.Be flexible in methods of working to achieve best outcomes. xjdpvnf Full UK drivers licence and willingness to travel.
