The RoleWe're seeking a technically skilled Systems Deployment and Maintenance Specialist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with advanced survey equipment and data capture systems, ensuring they're optimally configured and ready for deployment.All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.You'll be the vital link between our survey teams and technical systems teams, taking responsibility for equipment preparation, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting. While you'll receive comprehensive training in our railway infrastructure monitoring systems, this role offers exposure to various survey technologies across our different business divisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, test and optimise survey and data capture equipment to ensure peak performanceConduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), documenting results and resolving issuesSupport equipment installation and commissioning at client sites, including mounting systems on various platformsProvide on-site technical support during deployments to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfactionDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, coordinating repairs as neededManage equipment mobilisation and demobilisation logisticsCommunicate effectively with clients during installation and commissioning activitiesCreate and maintain technical documentation and reference materialsMentor junior technical staff, sharing knowledge and best practicesWhat We're Looking ForEssential:Hands-on experience with electronic equipment, instrumentation, or technical systemsPractical troubleshooting and fault-finding skillsStrong attention to detail and methodical approach to testing and documentationGood communication skills and customer-facing experienceComfortable with travel and working at client sitesFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Experience with survey equipment, sensors, or data acquisition systemsUnderstanding of xjdpvnf acceptance testing proceduresBackground in electronics, engineering, or related technical fieldExperience with equipment installation or field serviceRail industry experience or awareness (training will be provided)What We OfferComprehensive training in our proprietary railway inspection technologiesOpportunity to work with cutting-edge geophysical and survey equipmentVaried role with mix of workshop, office, and field-based activitiesCareer development opportunities with progression towards R&D involvementSupportive team environment within an established technical companyCompetitive salary based on experience
