As the UK’s leading online bullion dealer with over £350m annual turnover, our brands (including BullionByPost.co.uk, Gold.co.uk, and others) are trusted by thousands of investors.You’ll join a fast-paced, high-growth business with a market-leading digital presence, where compliance, trust, and integrity are fundamental to everything we do.Role OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Financial Crime Manager & Deputy MLRO to take a senior, hands-on role in leading and strengthening JQB’s financial crime framework.Reporting to the MLRO, you will act as their deputy and play a key role in overseeing AML, fraud prevention, investigations, and regulatory engagement. You will have line management responsibility, influence across the business, and real ownership of financial crime risk management in a high-trust environment.This is a permanent role with visibility, autonomy, and genuine impact. Ideal for someone ready to operate at senior-manager level and step into MLRO cover where required.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Deputy MLRO, supporting the MLRO and providing cover as requiredLead financial crime risk management across AML, fraud, sanctions, and suspicious activityMonitor suspicious activity, oversee escalations, and ensure high-quality SAR submissionsConduct and oversee customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and PEP/sanctions screeningOwn and maintain AML and financial crime policies, procedures, and controlsIdentify, assess, and mitigate financial crime risks across the businessCollaborate with Customer Services, Operations, Marketing, Tech, and Finance to strengthen fraud prevention and controlsLead internal investigations and support responses to law enforcement and regulatory requestsManage, coach, and develop team members within the financial crime/compliance functionSupport audits, internal reviews, and enterprise-wide risk assessmentsDeliver and support AML and financial crime training across the businessContribute to JQB’s wider Annex I Financial Institution obligations and regulatory strategySkills & Experience5+ years’ experience in senior financial crime, AML, compliance, or fraud rolesStrong working knowledge of UK AML regulations, SAR reporting, and risk frameworksExperience acting as a senior escalation point for financial crime issuesProven ability to draft, implement, and maintain policies and internal controlsConfidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing operational teamsLine management experienceStrong investigative mindset with excellent attention to detailExperience in financial services, fintech, ecommerce, payments, or similarComfortable using financial crime systems, screening tools, and reporting platformsICA, ACAMS, or similar qualification (desirable but not essential)Why You’ll Love It HereA senior role with ownership and accountabilityOpportunity to operate as Deputy MLRO in a high-growth businessWork closely with experienced leaders in compliance and riskInfluence and improve controls across the entire organisationA culture rooted in Integrity, Agility, Ambition, Clarity, and EfficiencyReal autonomy to shape and strengthen a core business functionAbout YouYou’ll thrive in this role if you:Are confident making risk-based decisions in fast paced environmentsBalance commercial awareness with strong judgementCommunicate clearly and credibly with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnjoy leading people and raising standardsWant a role where trust, judgement, and integrity genuinely matterReady to Apply?If this role sounds like a strong fit, we’d love to hear from you.
