Lead Electrical Design Engineer Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.Location: Filton (60% onsite)Contract Duration: Until December 2026 (with possible extension)Pay Rate:50.00 per hour (Umbrella)37.38 per hour (PAYE)About the RoleCarbon60's aerospace client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of a new control bench for a large hydromechanical test installation. You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering the full electrical design lifecycle from initial architecture development through to validation, verification, and entry into service.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the electrical design for a complex avionic control bench.Develop and contribute to system architecture and integration activities.Produce detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.Manage technical design risks and design milestones (FCR, FDR, PDR, CDR).Oversee build, installation, and assembly of the control bench.Lead the V&V phase and ensure successful entry into service.Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and meet delivery targets.Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience leading mediumlarge electrical or avionic control bench design projects.Strong background using electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad).Solid understanding of electrical systems, electrical design principles, and testing methodologies.Experience with electrical architecture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.Familiarity with avionic data buses (A429, CAN, AFDX) and hardware interfaces (discretes, analogue signals).Aerospace or highly regulated engineering industry experience is highly desirable.Teamoriented with strong communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.Contract DetailsIR35: Inside IR35Hours: 35 per week (4.5day working pattern between 07:0019:00).Interview Process: 1stage virtual interview.Why Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a technically challenging, highvisibility engineering project supporting nextgeneration aerospace systems.
