This is a new home providing therapeutic care for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). The Registered Manager will lead the service through Ofsted registration, oversee daily operations, and provide hands-on, child-centered support.The Candidate:The Registered Manager will have full responsibility for the leadership and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations while actively engaging with the children in daily activities. The role requires a proactive, hands-on approach, promoting a therapeutic and child-focused environment. Candidates with experience as Deputy Managers who are ready to step up will be considered if they demonstrate strong leadership and operational capability.Essential Criteria:Completed or enrolled in the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People’s ServicesExperience in children’s residential careStrong knowledge of Ofsted legislation and registration processesAbility to demonstrate a hands-on, child-centered, and therapeutic approachProven leadership ability, with experience supervising or managing staff teamsCommitment to supporting children’s development and maintaining high standards of careDriver with access to a vehicleClear and enhanced DBSSalary and Benefits:Base salary between £60,000 and £65,000, with flexibility depending on experience and qualifications£5,000 annual retention bonus to incentivize maintaining high-quality care25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysOne work-from-home day per weekCompany car providedSalary adjustments possible if managing additional homes (up to £70,000)Partial relocation support may be available for candidates moving to BirminghamLocation:The home is located in Birmingham.
