Youll be responsible for maintaining, faultfinding, and improving automated equipment across multiple sites, ensuring high levels of safety, reliability, and operational performance.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact across multiple operations.What youll doDeliver proactive and reactive maintenance across multiple CHEP facilitiesDiagnose faults and conduct detailed root cause analysisDrive continuous improvement across equipment and maintenance processesSupport site reliability initiatives: identify failure modes, analyse trends, and implement corrective actionsAssist with project work, upgrades, and change initiativesUse CMMS to log, track, and manage maintenance activitiesSupervise contractors and issue work permitsEnsure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations and CHEP standardsWhat we need from youStrong electrical bias with relevant electrical qualificationsLevel 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical MaintenanceMultiskilled capability across electrical and mechanical disciplinesExperience in fastpaced, safetycritical or automated environmentsConfident faultfinding skills (electrical, mechanical, PLC)Ability to read engineering drawings and use workshop toolsExperience with automation, PLCs, robotics, or similar technologies (highly desirable)A proactive, safetyfocused mindset and the ability to work independently across multiple sitesFull UK driving licenceAbout CHEPCHEP is the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling, supporting the worlds biggest brands with over 300 million assets across 55+ countries.
