This role is ideal for someone with a solid mix of mechanical, fabrication, and general engineering experience, who enjoys both reactive work and proactive maintenance.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on manufacturing equipmentCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtimeRespond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running efficientlySupport capital and improvement projects across the plantWork across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fabrication tasksCollaborate with production teams to improve machine performance and reliabilityEnsure all work is carried out safely and in line with company H&S standardsKeep accurate records of all maintenance work and equipment statusParticipate in relevant training and stay current with equipment and technologyRequirementsMust-HavesCity & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in EngineeringMinimum 10 years post-apprenticeship experienceProven background in high-speed manufacturing (FMCG, automotive, or similar)Solid mechanical engineering skills, including:Turning and millingPneumatics and hydraulicsWelding and fabricationAbility to work independently and as part of a small engineering teamFlexible, reliable, and solutions-focusedDesirableExperience with steel packaging machinery or materialsGood communication skillsComfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenanceBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceOvertime and shift premiums availableCompany pension schemeOn-site parkingPPE and tools providedTraining and career development opportunitiesTo Contact Direct:Daniel BarnettSenior Executive Consultant At Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion and collaboration.
