The basics:Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.Job Titles: Senior Quality EngineerIndustry: Precision EngineeringLocation: AlfretonSalary: Up to 47,500 DOEHours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pmContracted hours: 40 per weekHolidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.Overview:Working within modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities the Senior Quality Engineer will be working for a precision engineering business that manufacture components and fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear and defence industry.Brief overview of duties:Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.Provide engineering support for Visual and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9102 requirementsIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the businessUse quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implementedDefine and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructionsThe ideal candidate / Senior Quality Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:Experience with data collection and analysisA strong background at implementing quality systems within a precision engineering environment - aerospace/machining/fabrication or similarExperienced in Lean/problem solving techniques (8D), Kaizen.Knowledge of 6 Sigma process beneficialCompetent/capable of driving quality throughout a large business and manufacturerCommutable from: Heanor, Ripley, Alfreton, Hucknall and Surrounding areas. xjdpvnf If you are interested in the Senior Quality Engineer role, please apply immediately due to the urgency of this role.
