Sustainability is not a bolt-on here it sits at the heart of what the business delivers.The RoleReporting into the Head of Marketing & Sustainability, the Sustainability & ESG Manager will be responsible for developing, delivering and continuously improving the companys sustainability strategy across operations, products and the wider supply chain.This role combines strategy, data, reporting and stakeholder engagement, with visibility across the business and external partners.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver a sustainability strategy and structured work planOwn carbon measurement across Scope 1, 2 and 3, including expansion into additional relevant categoriesCreate and manage the annual sustainability reportWork closely with Finance to produce SECR reporting alongside statutory accountsDraft ESG policies, metrics and governance frameworksLead CSR initiatives and sustainability improvement programmesPartner with procurement to establish responsible sourcing principlesScope and gather data for product embodied carbon and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)Work with external carbon auditors to measure, reduce and verify emissionsIdentify and manage accreditation, certification and verification schemesCollate carbon and ESG data from internal teams, suppliers and customersRespond to customer sustainability questionnaires and ESG data requestsContribute to and help deliver a long-term carbon reduction planImprove data quality by proposing enhancements to CRM and ERP systemsPresent sustainability data and progress to internal and external stakeholdersRepresent the business at industry events, forums and conferencesWhat Theyre Looking ForA formal sustainability qualificationProven experience delivering sustainability strategy and reportingStrong hands-on experience with Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon reportingUnderstanding of UK sustainability regulations and reporting requirementsExperience with carbon frameworks, methodologies and accreditation schemesConfidence working with product carbon data and LCA approachesAdvanced Excel skills and strong data-handling capabilityHigh attention to detail with the ability to own complex reporting outputsA self-starter who can manage projects end-to-end with minimal supervisionComfortable working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environmentStrong communication skills, with confidence presenting to stakeholdersBackground in manufacturing, engineering or energy-related industries is advantageousWhats on OfferCompetitive salary (negotiable based on experience)25 days holiday + bank holidaysQuarterly profit share schemeHealthcare & wellbeing supportPension schemeEnhanced maternity & paternity payEV scheme with on-site chargingOn-site parkingLong-term role within a stable, growing, purpose-driven businessWhy This Role Stands OutThis is a rare opportunity to own sustainability from strategy through to delivery in a manufacturing business where environmental performance genuinely matters. xjdpvnf The role offers visibility, autonomy and the chance to make measurable impact not just produce reports.
