A great opportunity has arisen for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a leading supplier to the Oil & Gas, Aerospace and Defence industries. Job Description: Interpret technical drawings and job packs to set up CNC machines Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines (Fanuc, Siemens controls) Perform first-off inspections and maintain quality throughout production Adjust offsets and tooling to optimize cycle times and reduce waste Conduct routine machine maintenance and adhere to health 'safety protocols Collaborate with engineers to improve processes and efficiency Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: Time-served or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering. Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (multi-axis preferred) Ability to read and interpret complex CAD drawings Experience with various metals - exotic, steel & aluminium Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and CMM inspection. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required Programming experience at the machine and offline (Hypermill or similar) Experience with Mill/Turn or 5-axis machining and tight-tolerance components Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles TPBN1_UKTJ
