Job Purpose: To provide a professional, responsive, and effective security service across Trust sites, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and property. Key Responsibilities: Carry out regular security patrols of buildings, grounds, and car parks Respond promptly to security incidents, emergency calls, and alarm activations Control access through locking and unlocking procedures Maintain accurate electronic security logs and incident reports Liaise with Trust staff, members of the public, and police as required Support porter services, including escorting, postal duties, and ad-hoc tasks Assist with car park management, enforcement, and cash collection where required Work flexibly across a 24/7 shift rota, including nights, weekends, and bank holidaysEssential Requirements: Full UK clean driving licence (must have) Previous experience in a security role or customer-facing environment Ability to work under pressure and handle incidents professionally Good communication and report-writing skills Physically fit to undertake foot patrols and standing for long periods Willingness to work shifts on a rotational 24/7 basisDesirable: SIA Frontline Manned Guarding Licence or NVQ Level 2 in Security Experience in a healthcare or public-sector environment
