Senior Electromagnetic Compliance Project Lead Aerospace / Defence Overview A leading defence technology provider is seeking a motivated leader to guide a specialised team focused on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radiation effects. This position involves overseeing project delivery, shaping strategy, and supporting the integration of EMC considerations throughout the lifecycle of advanced defence systems. Salary & Working Model * Compensation: Up to £65,000, based on experience * Working Arrangement: Hybrid structure, typically 2–3 days per week on-site, dependent on project sensitivity * Security Requirements: Applicants must be British citizens and capable of obtaining HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. The successful candidate will oversee a team responsible for requirements definition, design guidance and testing support, drawing upon comprehensive internal EMC testing capabilities. In this role, you will coordinate work across several major programmes, introduce modern digital verification approaches, and ensure your team’s activities align with project milestones and quality expectations. Key Responsibilities * Direct and coordinate project tasks to ensure delivery within agreed cost, time and quality boundaries * Maintain a proactive and adaptive approach, remaining calm and focused when priorities shift * Lead and nurture a diverse technical team, offering coaching, structured development and ongoing feedback * Support a positive, inclusive working culture through strong interpersonal and communication skills * Apply an understanding of electrical, electronic or electromagnetic engineering (knowledge of EMC is advantageous but can be developed) * Contribute to the development and application of EMC principles throughout the engineering lifecycle
