We help banks, hedge funds, and vendors design, build, and debug serious compute platforms from CPU/GPU clusters for risk calculations to low-latency analytics and large-scale simulations.Were hiring aSoftware Engineerto work in the HPC side of the company. One day you might be talking tofinance quantsabout risk workloads, the next youre deep in conversation withGPU engineersabout kernels, memory layouts and performance and plenty in between.More than a perfect CV, we care that youresmart, highly motivated, and that youactually care about HPC (and maybe finance too). You should enjoy understanding how systems behave at a low level and be happy jumping between domains.You must haveThe right to live and work in the UK indefinitelyAt least 1 year of experienceas a software engineer inpaid full-time employmentKnowledge and commercial experiencewith at least one of, Java, C# or Python Experience with at least one non-managed / manual-memory language, e.g. C, C++, Rust.At least one of the following:Exposure to or experience withHigh-Performance Computing (HPC)Experience working infinancial services technology(risk, trading, analytics, etc.)Nice to have but not deal-breakers:Experience withdistributed systems, job schedulers, or batch frameworksWorking withGPUs(CUDA, ROCm, or similar)Familiarity withnumerical methods, Monte Carlo, or risk systemsPrior consultancy or client-facing experienceAbout HMx LabsWere asmall, specialist shop, not a giant body-shop.
