Your teaching will be flexible, engaging, and meaningful, ensuring students feel both challenged and supported in a safe, nurturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPlan, deliver, and teach individual or small group lessons aligned with the school curriculumMonitor, assess, record, and report on student progress consistentlyContribute to initiatives from the School Development PlanPromote the physical, educational, and moral development of studentsDevelop and implement personalised learning programmes that support individual progressCoordinate the teaching, development, assessment, and reporting of designated subjectsDevise, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans (IBPs), and other individualised plansOrganise classrooms, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating, safe, and effective learning environmentEnsure student safety on-site and off-site, following risk assessments and safeguarding proceduresBrief and support Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, and care staff to deliver effective lessons and resourcesManage and support challenging behaviour, promoting self-regulation and independenceBe an active, committed member of the school communityWhat we are looking for:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essentialA genuine passion for SEN education and unlocking pupil potentialStrong relationship-building skills with pupils and colleaguesA creative, warm approach paired with high expectationsA team player who thrives in a supportive, collaborative environmentCommitment to celebrating progress, resilience, and success big or smallThis is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring teacher who wants to make a real impact on SEN students learning and personal development.About UsHambrook Schoolis in Burgess Hill,West Sussex.
