This role is part of the Technologies group reporting to the QHSE Director.You will be responsible for the inspection of machined parts received at our Farnborough site so we are looking for someone with similar experience ideally within the manufacturing sector.The purpose of the role is to provide quality control inspection of drawn parts prior to their transfer to stock. Associated activities include preparing non-conformance reports and supporting suppliers to continually improve.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out mechanical inspection of drawn parts on receipt and prior to acceptance into stockRaise non-conformance reportsCoordinate supplier non-conformance resolution, including root cause and corrective actionParticipate in drawn parts supplier audits and reviewsQualifications and ExperienceExperience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sectorSuccessful completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeshipBackground in an ISO9001 certified working environment (highly desirable)Ability to measure close tolerance components to a high level of accuracy and repeatability xjdpvnf Demonstrable proficiency in using analogue and digital vernier callipers, height gauges, micrometres, etcExperienced in using a coordinated measurement machine (CMM) (highly desirable)Working knowledge of BS8888Intermediate level Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPointHands-on approachGood written and oral communication skillsAbility to assess priorities and work on own initiativeAs this is an on-site role, please only apply if you are commutable distance from Farnborough, Hampshire.
