Tenancy Services Administrator / Housing Support Officer Location: Kirkby in Ashfield (fully office-based) Rate: £16.20 per hour (LTD) Contract: Temporary – 6 months An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tenancy Services Administrator / Housing Support Officer to join a busy Housing Management team on a 6-month temporary basis. This role plays a key part in supporting tenancy and estate services and ensuring residents receive a responsive, high-quality housing service. The Role: Working within the Tenancy / Estates team, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to Housing Officers, helping to deliver an effective and efficient housing management service. This is a fully office-based role. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Tenancy and Estates team with a wide range of housing management administration Managing appointments for Housing Officers, including housing surgeries, estate inspections, new tenant visits and introductory tenancy reviews Handling enquiries from tenants and residents via telephone, email and face-to-face contact Administering requests relating to mutual exchanges, successions, assignments and tenancy permissions Processing requests for keys/fobs, TV licences, screening checks and other tenancy-related referrals Assisting Housing Officers with inspections, safe and well checks and tenancy visits where required Dealing with correspondence, preparing standard and non-standard letters Maintaining accurate electronic housing management and filing systems Collecting and preparing statistical, performance and management information Providing reception cover and general administrative support as requiredWhat We’re Looking For: Previous experience within a housing, local authority or social housing environment Strong customer service and call-handling experience Confidence working with the public and handling sensitive enquiries Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to manage workload effectively, work to deadlines and use initiative A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervisionAdditional Information: Fully office-based role (no hybrid working) Must be able to work from the Kirkby in Ashfield office and other council locations if required Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a housing management service
