Animal Technician (Temporary – Term Time) Start Date: 18th January End Date: Half Term Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:00pm Pay: £13.68 per hour We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Animal Technician to support the daily care of animals while working alongside children in an educational setting. This is a temporary, part-time role ideal for someone with a passion for animal welfare and supporting young people. Key Responsibilities: Daily care and welfare of animals Feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal enclosures Monitoring animal health and behaviour Supporting and supervising children during animal-related activities Promoting safe, respectful interaction between children and animals Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety About You: Experience working with animals (essential) Experience working with children or young people (preferred) Patient, responsible, and approachable Strong commitment to safeguarding and animal welfare Able to work independently and as part of a team Safeguarding: This role involves regular contact with children A DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one) Start Date: 18th January ⏰ Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–12:00pm Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
