Youll work closely with senior stakeholders and site-based teams to ensure legal, customer, and third-party standards are consistently achieved, while driving a culture of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesChampion food safety, legality, and compliance standards across all operationsPlan, lead, and close internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing audit readinessOwn and develop core technical systems, including QMS, internal auditing programmes, pest control, and quality reporting toolsReview and interpret compliance data, complaints, and supplier performance to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesLead ethical, environmental, and social compliance activities, supporting broader ESG objectivesManage packaging compliance, including EPR reporting and recyclability assessmentsWork collaboratively with operations, supply chain, commercial, and technical teams to resolve issues and improve processesBuild strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodiesLead, coach, and develop a small Quality and Compliance teamAbout YouDegree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation and food safety management systemsAt least three years experience xjdpvnf within the food industry, ideally in a compliance or technical leadership roleConfident and credible communicator, comfortable influencing at all levelsPrevious experience managing or mentoring team membersHACCP Level 3 (Level 4 desirable)Experience with GFSI/BRC standards, ESG frameworks, or technical system implementation would be advantageousWhy Consider This Opportunity?Newly created role with genuine autonomy and visibilityOpportunity to shape compliance strategy and ways of workingBroad exposure across technical, operational, and commercial functionsIf youre looking for a role where you can truly influence standards, lead change, and make a lasting impact within a progressive food business, wed be keen to hear from you.
