Level 3 Qualified Room LeaderIf you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.Zero2Five is delighted to be partnering with a high-quality nursery in Derby, seeking a dedicated Level 3 Qualified Room Leader to become part of a skilled team that provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for both children and staff to thrive.RequirementsRecent experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 yearsLevel 3 qualified in ChildcareGood knowledge of child development, with experience completing observations and recordsUnderstanding of health and safety requirements in childcare environmentsStrong communication skills with children and adultsSEN experienceKey ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver age-appropriate activities and educational programmes that reflect each childs individual needs, interests, and stage of development.Observe, assess, and accurately record childrens progress, working closely with parents and guardians to gain a holistic understanding of each childs development.Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of learning styles and abilities, ensuring an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment for all children.Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners, offering guidance to ensure high-quality care and learning experiences, including supporting and training new staff and students while clearly communicating room expectations.Ensure children requiring additional support have appropriate targets in place, completed by yourself or the team, and reviewed daily to provide consistent and effective support.Monitor and promote the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children, responding promptly to any concerns and maintaining clear communication with parents and guardians.Encourage a positive, collaborative team culture through open communication and a shared commitment to the nurserys values and ethos.Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate records, contributing to the nurserys administrative duties, and attending room leader meetings while acting on guidance provided.Build strong, professional relationships with parents and guardians by providing regular updates on childrens progress and addressing any concerns with care, empathy, and professionalism.The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package, including in-house training and clear opportunities for career progression.
